Q: Where is the station located?A: WUEV is located on the beautiful campus of the University of Evansville on the third floor of the Olmstead Administration Building. Q: How do I contact the station?A: To contact WUEV, visit our Contact Us page. Q: How far can I drive before WUEV fades out?A: At 6100 watts, WUEV has a listening range of approximately 30 miles. This includes Evansville, north to Princeton, south to Madisonville, Kentucky, east to Boonville, and west to Mount Vernon. Q: Can I really listen to WUEV from anywhere in the world?A: Since 1996, the WUEV Stream has operated 24 hours a day. It can be accessed from any computer in the world by clicking the following link: WUEV Stream Q: The stream doesn't work, how can I fix it?A: The WUEV Stream is a pop up window. If you are on a dial up connection, it's possible that the stream may run slower than usual. If there are additional problems, see our streaming FAQ. Q: I am an AOL user. When I click on the stream link, it doesn't work. What should I do?A: For AOL users, the best thing to do is minimize your AOL browser and open the WUEV Stream in an Internet Explorer window. Q: If I am interested in sponsoring WUEV, who do I contact?A: WUEV is a non-profit station. Our programming is supported in large part by underwriting. Check out the underwriting page for more details. Q: If I want to work at WUEV, where do I go?A: Come by the station (if you don't know where the station is, see FAQ #1) and talk with our station manager or our friendly staff. They will help you get in contact with the right people and get you started at the station. Q: What was the last song that just played?A: Listen a while longer, and the DJ may come on and tell you the name of the song that just played. If the DJ doesn't say the name of the particular song you wanted, call the request line at 488-2020 and our friendly staff of DJ's will help you out. If you are wishing to know the name of a song played between the hours of 1 am and Noon, dial 1-800-313-4003 and ask for Joan Swanson, or view the most recent playlist online. Q: How long will the game last until my show comes on?A: WUEV Sports covers a variety of sports in the tri-state area. Typical sports broadcasts range from 2½ to 3 hours in length from start to finish. Additionally, many of our evening sports broadcasts start at 6 or 7 pm. Therefore, the music shows will usually start back up again sometime between 8:30 and 10 pm. However, this is not always the case, so please tune into the game to see just how much longer it might last. | |||||||||||
